A well pump or compressor can draw three to five times its running current at startup, and an inverter that cannot deliver that surge will trip no matter how large the battery. Split-phase 120/240V is standard for a US home; 120V-only units suit cabins and RVs. Confirm the charge controller's PV input window matches your array voltage.
