Empava Walk-In Tubs

An Empava walk in tub replaces the high step over a standard rim with a door, which makes bathing safer for anyone with limited mobility, balance concerns or a recent surgery. This collection holds the three Empava walk-in bathtubs we stock: a 53-inch freestanding walk-in whirlpool with a left drain, a 54-inch alcove soaking walk-in with a right drain, and the upgraded 54-inch alcove whirlpool walk-in with an inline heater and right drain.

How to choose a walk-in tub

• Soaking or whirlpool: the soaking model is the simplest and needs no pump wiring; the whirlpool versions add jets for muscle relief, and the inline heater model keeps the water warm through a longer session.
• Freestanding or alcove: the 53-inch freestanding tub works in an open floor plan; the 54-inch alcove models fit a three-wall niche where a standard tub used to be.
• Drain side: the freestanding model drains left and the alcove models drain right. Match this to your existing rough-in to avoid moving plumbing.
• Space: at 53 to 54 inches these tubs are shorter than a standard 60-inch tub, so measure the niche and confirm the door has room to open.
