What makes a built-in different from a wall-mount:

  • Built-in (insert) fireplaces are recessed — they require a framed opening and give you a clean, flush look
  • Wall-mount fireplaces hang on the wall surface and require no framing
  • Built-ins support longer, wider units and are preferred for premium installs
