• Under Cabinet Hoods — mounted directly beneath standard upper cabinetry. Luna, Hurricane, Verona, and Venice models, 600–1800 CFM.
• Ceiling Mount Hoods — flush ceiling-mounted units for low-profile installations. Sunset (Bluetooth available), Sunrise (remote control), and Horizon series.
• Outdoor BBQ Hoods — purpose-built for outdoor kitchens with weather-rated construction. The Prestige series delivers up to 2300 CFM at 42", 48", and 60" widths.

How Much CFM Do You Need?

The right CFM depends on what you cook and how aggressively you cook it. Use this as a starting point:

• 450–600 CFM — Light to moderate cooking on electric or low-BTU gas (under 40,000 BTU). Good for pasta, light sautéing, occasional searing.
• 600–900 CFM — Standard residential cooking on gas ranges 40,000–60,000 BTU. Handles regular stir-frying, frequent grilling, and high-heat searing.
• 900–1200 CFM — Pro-style ranges 60,000–90,000 BTU. Heavy daily cooking, deep frying, wok cooking. Recommended for any open-floor-plan kitchen where smoke and odor travel.
• 1200–2300 CFM — Outdoor BBQ stations and commercial-spec residential cooking. The Victory Prestige series (2300 CFM) is purpose-built for outdoor grills.

Important: Range hoods rated 400 CFM or higher may require a makeup air system to comply with the International Residential Code (IRC) in tightly sealed homes. Consult a licensed HVAC professional before installing any high-CFM hood.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Victory range hoods made in the USA? Victory hoods are designed and assembled in Canada — North American manufacturing with 304-grade stainless construction. Urban Supply Inc is the authorized US dealer.

What's the warranty? Victory hoods carry a manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, with lifetime coverage on the all-metal motor. Urban Supply Inc handles warranty claim support as the authorized dealer.

Can I convert a Victory hood to ductless? Some models support ductless conversion via a charcoal recirculation kit (sold separately). Check the individual product page to confirm — Victory's design philosophy generally favors fully vented installations for better air quality.

What duct size do Victory hoods use? Most Victory hoods are designed for 6" or 8" round rigid metal duct. Always use rigid metal — never flexible or corrugated, which trap grease and choke airflow.

How high should I install a Victory hood above my cooktop? 24–30 inches above an electric cooktop, 30–36 inches above a gas cooktop, and 36–48 inches above an outdoor BBQ. Island and ceiling-mount hoods follow product-specific guidelines on the individual PDP.

Do you offer free shipping on Victory hoods? Yes — free standard shipping anywhere in the contiguous United States on orders over $299 (certain exclusions apply), which covers the entire Victory catalog.
