MudMixer Pro MMXR-PRO continuous concrete mixer with four all-terrain tires

MudMixer Evolution vs MudMixer Pro: Specs, Output and Accessories Compared

MudMixer makes two current continuous concrete mixers: the MudMixer Evolution (MMXR-3225-B) and the larger MudMixer Pro (MMXR-PRO). Both mix bagged concrete, mortar, stucco or grout in an auger and pour a steady stream from the chute, and both carry a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Here is how they differ, plus a fit chart for MudMixer accessories and parts.

Output figures are MudMixer's ratings. At about 45 80 lb bags per cubic yard (Quikrete yield), the Evolution mixes roughly one cubic yard an hour and the Pro about three.

Which one should you choose?

  • Choose the Evolution for fence posts, footings, pads, steps and masonry work where you move the mixer around the site and pour straight from the chute. At 145 lb shipping weight versus 450 lb for the Pro, it is the lighter machine to load and move. The Evolution Bundle adds the Hopper Extension and Chute Extension.
  • Choose the Pro for bigger bagged pours where output matters: it is rated at about three times the Evolution's output and carries a 250 lb hopper on four all-terrain tires.

Keep it running

Spray MudShield on the hopper, auger and chute before a pour so concrete doesn't bond, and use MudBreaker to dissolve hardened buildup without scraping. Shop the full MudMixer lineup, or read how many bags of concrete you need to plan your pour.
