IMER Koine 3.1 Continuous Mixer Pump – 4.5 HP 240V Single-Phase

IMER Rotor and Stator Guide: Which Parts Fit Your Pump

Every IMER mixer pump moves material with a rotor and stator, also called the pump element. They are wear parts. Abrasive grout, mortar and plaster slowly wear the steel rotor and the rubber stator until the pump loses pressure and output. This guide explains how the parts work, when to replace them, and which IMER rotors and stators fit which pump, so you can order the right part number the first time. All parts listed here are in our IMER collection.

How a rotor and stator work

The rotor is a hardened steel screw that turns inside the stator, a steel tube lined with rubber. As the rotor turns, it forms sealed cavities against the rubber that carry material from the hopper to the hose. The tighter that seal, the more pressure the pump builds. As the rubber and steel wear, material slips back and the pump delivers less at the same speed.

Signs it's time to replace them

  • Output drops or the pump surges even though the mix and speed haven't changed.
  • The pump can't push material as far or as high as it used to.
  • Pressure on the gauge is lower than normal for the same material and hose length.
  • The rotor shows visible grooves or flat spots, or the stator rubber is torn or swollen.

Replacing the rotor and stator together restores the original fit. Putting a new rotor in a worn stator, or the reverse, usually brings back only part of the performance.

Single parts vs kits

For the Step-Up 120 and Prestige, IMER sells many rotors and stators individually, but each needs its matching kit (the conversion hardware for that size) the first time you switch to it. The fit notes below list which kit each part needs. If you're changing to a different rotor/stator size, order the complete kit.

Ordering tips

  • Check the rotor/stator model stamped on your current parts or listed in your pump's manual, then match the IMER item number above.
  • Keep a spare rotor and stator on the truck for pumps that run grout or fireproofing every day. A worn pump element can stop a job.
  • Not sure which size you have? Contact us with your pump model and serial number before you order.
