Olympic Kilns has built kilns in Flowery Branch, Georgia for more than 50 years, and every kiln is built to order in the USA.

The GF314ETLC's square design expands the firing space available in traditional cylindrical glass kilns, and with its unique top and clamshell-loading feature, you get two kilns in one! You get the standard top-loading model plus clamshell loading, which makes it easy and convenient to flash vent, rake glass, and load shelves with glass positioned. The model has an element in the kiln lid to provide the radiant heat needed when the fusing temperature is reached, and elements in the kiln walls to provide conductive heat. Elements in the firing chamber evenly heat the glass piece, and the lid element is activated when the fusing temperature is reached. Models have a maximum temperature range of 1700°F to protect the optional quartz glass viewing window, but can be reprogrammed to fire to higher temperatures. Glass kiln models 20" wide or larger are equipped with a lid lift assist for easy opening and closing of the kiln lid.

240-208-volt glass fusing kilns come equipped with a pilot light, a tall 18" metal stand or frame, a stainless steel jacket, and a Bartlett KilnStar digital controller. Included in the kiln package are peephole plugs and instruction manuals.

Two-year Limited Kiln Warranty.

Consider upgrading to the Genesis touchscreen controller for more ramp-hold user programs and additional features, including delay start, preheat, skip-step, and more, for precise firings every time. Messages and information are available for reviewing a firing profile before or during the firing, and viewing the current segment the firing is in. Options include Type S thermocouple, flash arm, quartz glass viewing windows, lid elements in quartz rods, venting, and more! Solid-state relays are an available option.

Furniture Kits for 240-208-volt Glass Fusing kilns provide two layers of shelving for stacking ware, posts, and ceramic paper. Choose the standard furniture kit for the selected model, or build your own with shelves and posts in the required quantities.

Specifications

Model

GF314ETLC

Wiring Specifications

1 Phase

Equipped with Lid Lift Assist

Yes

Volts

208

240

Inside Chamber Dimensions w x d x h (inches)

25 x 25 x 13.5

Amps

48

45

Cubic Feet

4.88

Watts

10,800

Outside Dimensions with Stand or Frame w x d x h (inches)

39.5 x 53 x 43

Breaker Required

60 Amp

Brick Thickness

3"

Plug Configuration

NEMA 6-50

Maximum Temperature

1700°F/927°C

Copper Wire Size

#6, #4 if the circuit is longer than 40 ft

Est Ship Wt.

475 lbs.

Controller options

Choose the standard Bartlett KilnStar digital controller or upgrade to the Genesis touchscreen controller, which adds more ramp-hold programs and on-screen firing information.
